Hello & Happy Holidays from all of us here at Warmth!
There is so much to be thankful for in our cozy little community; the beautiful trees, the cool weather, the smiling faces that surround us and of course our sanctuary of Warmth. Warmth becomes even more special this time of year. When the hustle and bustle gets the best of you, we’re here to help you warm up and return to your true self.
As many of you know, we’ll be moving to a new and improved space in the New Year. I have been wanting to send this newsletter for a while, but I’ve been waiting for the final plans to come together. I am finally in a position to communicate what the future of Warmth will look like and I’m excited about what is to come.
We will be moving to 155 Spring Hill Dr, off of Idaho Maryland Rd. Our new home will be roughly the same size as our current space with a very similar feel. Our men’s locker room will be updated to two showers and our women’s locker room will be updated to three showers. We are adding additional communal space with a tea station and mini library for students to relax, unwind, and connect with one another. Our entire space will be set with a hard wood surface flooring and there is ample parking both in our parking lot and on the street next to us.
If you have ever done a remodel, I’m sure it is no surprise to you, the move to our new location is taking more time than anticipated. Our current lease ends at the close of 2017 and our new space will not be ready for us. Both myself and my husband are working hard to find a temporary fit so that while construction continues we still have a place to gather and practice. We have four viable options that we are evaluating and as soon as we are clear on timelines and what is best for us, we will communicate this clearly.
Thank you for sticking with us as we make this transition. As we all know, the only constant is change. We’ve had a lot of great experiences and created a lot of memories in our current space. Warmth has been a place of transformation, even within the name, what was once Bikram Yoga Grass Valley Nevada City became Warmth…and the transformation continues in 2018. Ayurveda, the sister science of yoga, teaches us that heat and fire create transformation. This is so appropriate for us at Warmth, we come to Warmth to transform. To transform our bodies, our minds and our entire lives.
We’re getting an opportunity to put our yoga practice to work in real life situations on a daily basis. When I find myself getting overwhelmed with all the changes, I simply take a deep breath, feel my feet connected to the earth, release tension with a big exhale and a sigh…and take the next productive step. We appreciate your support as we take on the big move and we look forward to sharing the next chapter of Warmth with you! Yoga teaches us to be content; Sthira Sukham Asanam; steady comfortable posture. This transition is just another part of our yoga practice, another posture in which we dig deep to find strength and ease. Finding contentment within all the movement is not easy, but it will lead to greater strength, gratitude and faith.
