danica vega

vinyasa and yin instructor.

Danica is a Nevada County Native, who after a 9 year vacation living in Santa Barbara, California, decided to return to the beautiful Sierra Foothills. Bringing back with her a passion to share how Yoga can be a transformative journey. Within her time in Santa Barbara she honed in on her desire to help others feel better. Focusing on modalities that stood the test of time Danica was drawn towards the connection between wellness and movement. Completing a Yoga Teacher training in 2011 followed by a License in massage Therapy in 2013, Danica has found great fulfillment in working towards making others find their most balanced selves.
Danica’s main goal when leading a class is to allow each practitioner to drop in, to truly experience their body. With a passion for sharing a sustainable practice she works to teach alignment from the ground up. Attention to the connection between mind, body, and breath will leave you grounded. Each class is a extension of her own practice and she is thrilled to be able to share her passion with you!

five fabulous facts

Where is your favorite place to spend time in Nevada County
(other than Warmth of course)?

Any trail, with my pup. Trees and water are a plus. 🙂

What makes you feel warm and fuzzy about our studio?

A sense of inclusion, the vibrant community that is felt in each class. The feeling that you are supported by those you practice with is a gift, and Warmth provides that.

Why do you like it hot?

Being graced with not the most naturally bendy body, I find that heat helps me inhabit poses with more ease. I don’t have to work for an entire hour to build the amount of heat my body requires to release and lengthen. To sum it up, magic happens as soon as sweat starts to pour.

What is your favorite fruit?

What’s your most prized possession?

I’m not sure that I can claim to “possess” my loved ones, but they are what I cherish most.
